Rosemary Memory Cafe

NEW INITIATIVE - just started!

We are thrilled to be working in partnership with Age UK Sheffield

and friends from Christ Church on the establishment of a memory

cafe in Dore. As part of the People Keeping Well Project,

Age UK Sheffield are launching two new memory cafes,

one in Dore and the other in Totley, which have been named

"Rosemary Memory Cafes".

What makes a Memory Cafe different?

We want to encourage people experiencing some memory loss or people who

have a diagnosis of mild to moderate dementia, their carers and their friends

to come along and join us. There'll be activities to engage, inform, stimulate

and entertain everyone. Plus, it'll be an opportunity to make new friends,

keep active and feel more confident.

When will the cafes be taking place?

The cafes are are being held on a Tuesday afternoon at 2-00 p.m., fortnightly,

in each of two locations:

  • Dore Methodist Church - started on 7th May.

This cafe will meet on the first and third

      Tuesdays of each month.

  • Totley - started on 14th May the Totley cafes will be held on the

second and fourth Tuesday of the month at All Saints Church Hall

        on Totley Hall Lane.

How to get involved?

Everyone is welcome and the sessions are free to attend, but there will be

a small charge for refreshments (£1 per person)

Sheffield Age UK do ask that you let them know that

you will be attending by calling them in advance

on  0114 250 2850.
